Helping you ensure equality, accessibility and compliance with equality laws

In the early 1990s, I worked at a project designed to help newly disabled people get back into work. I saw first-hand the negative attitudes, inequality and discrimination that disabled people have to put up with every day. I could also see that ‘The Web’ would offer an opportunity to alleviate some of the barriers that stop disabled people from participating fully in society.

In 1996 I set up a project called, The Making Connections Unit, located within Glasgow Caledonian Unversity, which gave free advice to non-profits to ensure their digital content would be accessible to disabled people. In 2003, I started my own business to provide accessibility auditing and accessible website design services to a wider group of organisations.
